Before publishing my first book I knew little about blogs except they existed. Since publishing I started my own blog The Troubled Oyster and have sifted through varieties of blogs. Over the past year and a half I have found about 8 that I follow regularly. Today I'm going to point out 3.
These 3 are extra special to me. I love the design, content, and the bloggers who run them. They are all review blogs and I adore their reviewing skill. They are never mean, rude or demeaning and are always honest. They don't always give 5 star reviews yet they have style and class when a book receives fewer stars with reason behind it.
Not all reviewers do that ,honestly, they don't. I was shopping around Amazon the other day and read a review that stated something like, "I can't believe I spent the entire day reading this horrible book" with a 1 star rating next to it. My thoughts If you hated it that much why did you spend your day reading it? I'm doubting the person actually read the book but why leave such a horrible review? I paid it no mind as a reader and added the book to my TBR list.
Yes, these are review blogs but the bloggers also do themes weeks, months etc. which adds extra spice.
