I did it! I created a YouTube channel. It's in its infancy but I have things planned, sort of. Right now I have all of two videos.
This is something I've thought about for awhile. I wanted a story time with my books so my first video I read the prologue to The Vampires Next Door. The video I posted today is about why I chose the backdrop of St. Augustine.. This Sunday I'll read chapter one of The Vampires Next Door and I plan on doing one next weekend for BoBase 2021. I'll be there in St. Augustine and can hopefully get a few good videos I can put together into a longer one or even post them individually.
The point of the channel is to have fun and a chance for readers to get to know me. I get a lot of emails and do my best to respond to them all. I think the channel is maybe more direct and if I get enough of a following I can do some live streams and other things. Don't be shy, watch the first 2 videos and give them a like and even a subscribe :-)
I don't think it's possible for creativity to be a negative thing.
